The hotel is located in the center, but at the same time on a quiet street. It is important that the hotel is after the reconstruction of a historical building - everything is new, clean, beautiful, tastefully decorated interior and rooftop pool overlooking the harbour. What I like most about the hotel is the staff - everyone is very friendly and genuinely willing to help. On the day of arrival, there was a lovely girl Marina, who told and showed everything. But the most interesting thing happened on the way out of the hotel and this confirmed the level of preparation and attitude towards the hotel's customers. I forgot my watch and jewelry in my room and remembered it at the airport. Everything was like in a James Bond movie. I called the hotel, after 5 minutes they collected my things, sealed them and called a taxi. The taxi left for the airport and Pyne sent me a screenshot of the route and the car. And she sent me the movement, and when the taxi arrived at the airport, I was already waiting at the entrance. I received my things 5 ​​minutes before boarding. It was a quest and a miracle. I would like to thank Pyne from the front desk for their professionalism and excellent customer service.

The authentic stone walls set the perfect romantic setting!! The duplex remained lovely and cool through the hot August heat. The location was amazing the breakfast was good, staff are a pleasure and check in and out was super quick.

Super nice hotel located in the centre of Valletta. Lovely staff with great energy. The room was super clean. We also had breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant and it was perfect. The vibe of all the people working there just makes this hotel even nicer. If in Malta again, we’ll surely stay at La Falconeria.

(This review will be about the Rosselli hotel next door since we got an upgrade from the St John.) Oh my, we had such a great time at the Rosselli. The location is of course great - in the middle of the city center, bus close by, ferries too. The hotel is situated at the end of a busy street (pedestrians only). The room was quite large and luxurious with every amenity you might need. Great beds too. Our highlight was the amazing breakfast. The food was just top notch. Finally, a special shout-out to all the personnel, they really made our stay as pleasant as it could be.

    Valletta is not really a city for the elderly or less able.

    Valletta is not really a city for the elderly or less able. Very hilly streets and some of the paving can be rather slippery at times. Many holiday homes have very steep stairs or even stone spiral stairs. These look lovely but not always suitable for less able holidaymakers. You need very comfortable shoes because the best way to see the city is on foot. Lots of cobbles and uneven surfaces. Not meaning to be negative, I love Valletta, but telling it like it is. My favourite restaurant is Ta Kris in Sliema. Lovely place, excellent Maltese food, my favourite being the local ravioli. For snacks, the Museum Cafe is a little treasure, full of character and great food.

    It was so interesting, especially the War Museum at Fort St Elmo and the "firing of the noonday gun" (quoting Noel Coward) at the Barakka Gardens. Spar supermarket in Republic St that is open 24/7. Good gelateria. Beautiful cathedral, and other little churches. Loved learning more about the Knights of St John, Great restaurants and a chocolate shop in the street where, surprisingly, the Chinese Embassy is located, where I had the best iced chocolate ever. They sell bars of excellent chocolate as well.

    Valletta has lots to offer - old buildings, churches, and beautiful coastline. There are endless places to eat - we had meals at Casa Ellul (fine dining, excellent), Rubino (robust local food, good), Legliglin (fixed menu), Kings Own Band Club (robust local food - I liked this place a lot - the food was hearty, unpretentious and fairly priced), and Noni (Michelin star, fixed menu, highly pretentious, flavours not as exquisite as the price suggests). Valletta is not an easy destination for people of reduced mobility as it is hilly. But it is a lovely town to walk around - lots of beautiful views and many viewpoints. The buses are extremely easy to use so getting around the island from Valletta is simple.

    Everyone spoke English which made life almost too easy! If you like history, this is THE place for you. It's easy to get around and my friend and I loved using the gondola taxis. Valletta is very good value for money and we were surprised at how cheap many things were, eg. happy hour cocktails great value at 2 for 1, so 2 cocktails for 4.50 euros! It was very hot and humid, so you might like to book somewhere with a pool. However, we preferred to be right in the centre and booked a day spa with the use of a pool which was lovely. Public transport very efficient, cheap and easy to use.

    So many steps if staying near the Elmo Fort. If very hot, can be tricky. Food was excellent. Super little convenience store called Dad Dar. City bus very handy, as it does continual circular route and very cheap.

    A week long stay was just the right amount of time for us. Renting a car was the best decision we made so we could travel around nice and quickly. Every beach has something unique about them and there is something for everyone if you look carefully.

    We stayed only one night but I wish it was more! It’s perfectly located, only 4 min away from the city centre. The staff were very nice and always smiling. The breakfast was good and served in the rooftop which has very nice views. The hotel is vintage but not old and we really loved that. It was very easy to locate from the airport using the bus.

    We arrived at the hotel early as we'd disembarked from our cruise ship at 8.30am. We were able to leave our luggage while we went for a tour of Malta. The hotel is really handy to the centre of Valletta, and we were able to walk everywhere.
