It was a great stay from the first to the last minute! Thimal and Tatiana are extremely welcoming and attentive hosts. And by the way - great companions for talking! The accommodation is very comfortable. The combination of the pool and the ocean is great. The beach is deserted, only local fishermen will keep you company. The rooms are practically furnished. The village is very peaceful, lovers of peace and contact with authentic Sri Lanka will appreciate it. Thimal is an excellent cook. We greatly appreciated his unfailing interest in our food preferences. He offered us fresh fish, European food (great pizza) and Sri Lankan specialties. I found his activity in fulfilling our wishes to be quite extraordinary - he helped us promptly arrange transport to the ceremonies in Katagarama, to the local bird area (awesome) or just ordinary short-distance tuk-tuk trips - to the market or shopping in the town of Ranna, 5 km away . It was a very successful stay for the whole family!

The location right next to the bird sanctuary is fabulous, and it is only a short walk to Taragala Rock, from here you have a perfect wiew of the whole area. The garden is an ideal place for watching birds of many kinds. Saman is very helpful, and he helped arranging a boat trip in the lagoon. The breakfast was very nice, and generous. The WiFi , aircondition, the shower all worked well. The bed was comfortable.

Staff is really attentive and helpful. This makes for a really stress free vacation as we did not have to worry about a thing. Food was delicious and always prepared fresh. Beach was as epic as it gets, long and wide sandy strip. Pool was well taken care of and loungers were plenty to be found in shade and in sun. Rooms, although simple, were comfortable and cleaned daily. Location is good, quiet and relaxing.

We already had high expectations since the reviews are gold, but they were still exceeded. 1) Room is super cool, photogenic, little details like chilled beer mug in the fridge 2) Hirushan is a kind soul genuinely interested in serving his guests and leaves no stone unturned 3) Food was out of the world, they re-made some dishes because we liked them so much 4) Tangalle is pretty, but this region Rekawa has the BEST BEACH, giant waves and most gorgeous sunset 5) We saw like a 100 turtles hatched and running towards the beach :') More on my youtube channel by same name

Absolutely Everything - the most amazing place with the most incredible staff. Kamal and his team are absolutely fantastic and we couldn't recommend this place highly enough - easily the best place we have ever stayed driven hugely by the fantastic staff!     Authentic family experience.

    Authentic family experience. Two beaches, bird sanctuary and a fishery. Small but beautiful temple. Big rocks for line fishing. Bird watching. Relaxing. You can walk around the village, a couple of little shops. No restaurants as such. I had home cooked food from the main house.
