Value for money was exceptional and a really lovely surprise to access a beautiful swimming pool in exceptional setting. From the outside the hotel looked unexceptional but the complex was a teal suprise.

We loved our stay in one of the floating bungalows. A lot of space, amazing view of the river, comfortable bed and a good shower. The staff was very nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we wanted.

The best sunsets on the island! The hotel is conveniently located on the banks of the Mekong, not far from the pier. The room was modest, but clean - good bed linen and towels. excellent value for money. delicious breakfast with great coffee! Thank you very much, Andy for your hospitality, advice and organization of our holiday! We want to return to the hotel and enjoy the view - the sunsets and starry sky were magnificent

SANDERS & TANOI are The Most Perfect guesthouse owners ever !!! Don Som Riverside location is really breathtaking, and the bungalows face some of the most fascinating views to Mekong River !!! And the dinner was really delicious !!! The gave me the very best tips to continue my travel through Mekong River on my way to Laos !!! This was the best stay I’ve had while traveling down through Laos from Luang Prabang. Totally recommend it to everyone! Alex and Leymon are super friendly. they even helped arrange a ride to Don Det and were quick to reply to messages before I arrived. Especially, Leymon’s Asian food was amazing, honestly as good as what I’ve had in the actual countries. Can’t wait to try it again! Between meals we played cards, chatted, and hung out with their dogs and cats—such a chill vibe. The room was clean and comfy, with a soft bed, towels, and shampoo. The shower has an open ceiling, so you might notice it when it rains, but it didn’t bother me at all. Loved the whole experience!

Best Guesthouse in Don Det. Beautiful house directly at the river front. Cute balconies with hammocks, seperated from each other with wodden gitters to not restrict the view. Super clean. Very friendly owner. She arranged both of our transfers and everything went perfectly. The location was perfect, 5 min walk to the city centre but quiet for the evenings.
