Verona was Fair, Hotel City was Great, Andrei was Exceptional!!! When you have the most memorable stay with such great people. Andrei simply was a star, nothing too much trouble. He speaks so many languages, he is great host and great to chat to at the bar. He was the difference between going to room or staying and having a great night in the hotel bar. Roxy Plaza sounds like some Las Vegas casino, but Hotel Roxy Plaza in Soave is far from that, it’s in fact a classic hotel right on the edge of the walled town of Soave and the junior suite has a wonderful view of the castle. When you walk into the hotel you’ll receive a warm welcome from the receptionist and the atmosphere is immediately warm and inviting. Breakfast and cleaning staff all excellent, the underground parking was large enough for an SUV. We enjoyed our stay. Soave is a lovely little town from the Middle Ages complete with castle and moated town wall, it is vibrant especially on Sundays with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes, small shops. The Soave wine area is also interesting for walkers and cyclists. Tip: should you wish to take the train to Verona, San Bonifacio is the local station with a 20-25 minute connection to Verona.
