This is a great base from which to explore the Chianti area...
This is a great base from which to explore the Chianti area if you are looking to visit the small towns and several wine producers. It is also about a 20 minute drive to Gaiole if you are in the area for the Eroica cycling event. I really like the area - the hills are covered with oak forests or vineyards, and on most of the roads you drive through a tunnel of trees and foliage. The excellent wine and natural beauty alone are enough to merit a visit, but on top of that, the area also produced some of the best artists and writers of the renaissance, including Boccaccio, Dante, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci.Guest review byJeffreyItaly

You are surrounded by beautiful vineyards and you can admire amazing sunsets from your private viewing decks. It is very close to Siena and picturesque villages of Tuscany. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Cristina has given us lots of advice on what to do and where to eat (great recommendations!) and her husband treated us to some yummy home grown vegetables.
