Pennapiedimonte is the most beautiful village/place we have visited in our six week trip through Italy. The natural, historical and archaeological beauty goes beyond written or spoken words. Casa Avella is a property which reflects the beauty of the area. Very tasteful design, modern yet respectful of the historical town and environment, comfortable beds air conditioning, plenty of room, great water pressure, good wifi, quiet, premium quality toiletries. The local people are astonishingly welcoming and the management of Casa Avella go beyond what anyone would believe possible to make your stay wonderfully perfect. Visit this area and this property before the rest of the world finds out! Simply outstanding. We feel blessed and privileged to have stayed at this property and so will you. This was a beautiful B&B with so many special little touches that really made it stand out. The old world charm of the rooms was quite unique and you immediately felt at home. The common area was just as pretty as the bedrooms. All beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very highly finished. The entire property was spotlessly clean throughout. A beautiful home in a stunning little mountain top village!

Super clean, the house is super nice, it feels like we were at home , all small details like kitchen stuff, small things that make you feel you have everything you need. Nice breakfast, the host gave all necessary instructions to enter and about parking! Super quiet place to relax after the full trekking day! Excellent!!!!

The property is an entire little villa (terratetto) with very spacious parking. You will enter from the kitchen, which is fully equipped to have dinner guests. A full set of towels and some amenities are available in the two bathrooms. Same for the linen in the bedrooms. Air conditioning and TV are present and work very well. The general standard of cleaning is very good. Well Done! The perfect camp-base for day trips in Majella Park. Bonus: Guarduagrele is a very peaceful and lovely little village. FORZA ABRUZZO!

The location was perfect for us as a base to explore the Majella National Park and several surrounding towns. Pietro was the most wonderful host, giving us recommendations for hikes, places to go, and loaning us bikes to use. The apartment was perfect and the balcony view was stunning and a wonderful way to wake up every day for our morning coffee and tea. We visited early in the season so had the entire place to ourselves with the town still pretty quiet, but we’re lucky to have beautiful weather and an incredible stay. We can highly recommend La Piazzetta for anyone looking for a good base near the Majella mountains to explore Abruzzo.
