We absolutely loved our stay in Hortus! A newly constructed hotel with tastefully furnished rooms and beautiful views of the Umbrian countryside. Manuela, one of the owners, was so kind to us and really cared about our experience (we were a group of friends, some of which have never been to Umbria). We would strongly recommend you also dine in the restaurant as the food is out of this world!!! The chef, Manuela's mum, cooks so well and puts all her heart and soul in her dishes that you will never want the dinner to finish. Great selection of wines too! We felt so sad to leave Hortus, but can't wait to be back soon. Thank you Manuela and your team for all the love and care!

The hosts, Giovanna and Andrea were great, are great! They welcomed us with kindness and grace. They are really fantastic people. They went the extra mile for us and even invited us to an evening get together with family and friends. They recommended great restaurants and local sights for us to visit. They rebuilt the building, inside and out, that the luxury rooms are located in and it is beautiful and comfortable. The shower was incredible and big! The room was a very good size also, as well as the bathroom. I liked also that there is an elevator located inside the building so we could reach our rooms without having to carry all of our luggage up 2 flights of steps. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice for croissants and other items as well. The bed was very comfortable and firm, just the way I like it. The location is convenient for visiting all the sights of Todi. We will visit again and stay at the Palazzo degli Stemmi.

KEY POINTS: Fantastic location (1-2mins walk from main square) Very clean No key to lose! Best bed ever! Wonderful hosts I absolutely LOVE everything about this place. Everything you need is right there. The interior design is gorgeous and cozy. The hosts are so thoughtful in leaving everything you could possibly need and trusting us with their nice things.     Monte Castello di Vibio is a hidden gem in the heart of Umbria and Italy, it is like being tranported to a timeless age, a fairy tale experience with princes, princesses and, possibly dragons hidden in the alleys and passage ways. At night the cobbled streets are painted yellow by the light from the lamps and one is just mesmerized. all that with impecable food and wine! The International Art Center adds a cosmopolitan edge to this medieval borgo. Sipping coffee and wine at the Piazza is unforgettable.
