Monopoli was a perfect base for us to see Puglia. Loved getting lost in the maze of narrow streets in the Old Town. Recommended Calette Torre Cintola to a couple staying at our hotel and they loved it as well. The old town is super cute! some great artisan stores and even a great vintage clothing store! The dining scene is excellent and ranges from rustic homey feel to more upmarket but all very affordable! Great wines flow from all bars and restaurants. Monopoli is a really great vibrant little seaside town and makes an excellent base to explore Puglia. Super clean, very comfy bed, very generously sized rooms, fantastic bathroom, cute balcony, lots of storage for clothes and suitcases, we even found some treats in the fridge and the host was very nice and friendly.
