Jodhpur is an interesting historic city with a magnificent fort towering over the old blue city. The area around the clocktower has numerous bazaars and places to stay and eat, great for shopping and exploring. Jodhpur offers wonderful local handcrafts and is worth visiting for this alone. the Mehrangarh fort, the Umaid Palace was worth it. Some restaurants were good. Shopping is great if you have time to look at many stires. The tax drivers take a cut by taking you to their know shopping places - please avoid and do your own research. The hotel is beautifully decorated in the signature colour. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the location is just perfect. Also a must is the cooking course provided by the hotel with the owner’s wife. This was my favourite activity in our whole journey. Normally I wouldn’t say this, but in this case book everything through the hotel. They get you the best deal and the best services.
