I actually enjoyed the stay very much comparing to all other sides of the trip. We 11 members of ladies group were really enjoying the night with lots of fun activities together. The room was for 4x2 = 8 members but we all 11 were very peacefully occupied in the 4 beds not congested at all. We had night dinner and morning breakfast from their own cafeteria. Was quite good 👍🏻. It was easy to get around Belur only walkable distance from room to temple.

    A Must-Visit Architectural Marvel – Chennakeshava Temple,...

A Must-Visit Architectural Marvel – Chennakeshava Temple, Belur The Chennakeshava Temple in Belur is a breathtaking example of Hoysala architecture and an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in history, art, or culture. Built in the 12th century, this temple is a stunning showcase of intricate carvings, stone sculptures, and detailed relief work that seem almost impossible to achieve in stone. From the elaborately carved pillars to the finely detailed depictions of mythological scenes, every inch of the temple tells a story. The craftsmanship is so refined that even after centuries, the sculptures retain their beauty and precision. The temple complex is well-maintained and offers a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere. Guided tours are available and highly recommended, as the local guides provide fascinating insights into the temple's history, architecture, and cultural significance. Located in the scenic town of Belur in Karnataka, the temple is easily accessible and makes for a perfect day trip from Hassan or even Bangalore. Whether you're a history buff, a spiritual seeker, or a traveler looking for hidden gems, Chennakeshava Temple will leave you in awe. Tip: Visit early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat and crowds, and don't forget your camera – the temple is incredibly photogenic!

The climate was beautiful. The town was neat n clean.

The climate was beautiful. The town was neat n clean. Restaurants in the vicinity are not that great in ambience but their good very good in taste n quantity. Value for money. The chenakeshava Temple about few meters away is an ancient architectural marvel. More than a century old. It's an ideal hub to go to belavadi, halebeedu, chikmaglur etc. Within the vicinity of 100kms n less is a wonderful picturesque n ancient more Temple properties in all the above places. In chikmagalur you have the scenic coffee plantations n spice n herb trees all around n the climate just breathtaking despite the incessant drizzle... beautiful place more than value for money... since I am a vegetarian can only talk about that.

Belur is a neat and clean, well maintained town. Chennakeshava temple is unique and in it's own class. Another attrtion is proximity to other beautiful places like Halebeedu, Chikmagalur and Sravanabelagola.
