Such a beautiful island.
Such a beautiful island. Peace, nature, wildlife, beautiful hand knitted aran jumpers in the shops, good food and friendly local people. There are horses and carts that will take you round the island. What a way to travel! Loved my time there.Guest review byJacquelineSlovenia - 8.0

Cute little town - convenient to the ferry. Lovely scenery. Great if you hike or bike(unless it’s raining, which it was for us). Pub food is about the only option, it’s a little elevated at the Hotel. We took the hop on bus, only two stops, not a tour - the driver didn’t say much. Outside the town is more interesting than inside.
Outside the town is more interesting than inside. But avoid the minibus tours. Our driver, John, spent five frickin' hours driving around trying to find more passengers, during which time he showed us only two of the sights. He also spent some of the time essentially providing a taxi service, and treated his taxi customers with much more consideration than his tour passengers. We highly highly recommend Aran Bike Hire - they couldn't...
We highly highly recommend Aran Bike Hire - they couldn't have been nicer kitting us out with bikes. Then, when we had a non bike related wrist break, Michael & team came to our rescue - driving the patient to meet the on-call doc; then to our accommodation to wait for the ferry & then directly to the ferry with an ambulance to meet us in Rossaveal. We really appreciated the Aran islanders' care and warmth - we felt treated as family. It came as no surprise to us to hear from AnnMarie that the islanders sponsor the annual visit of the Little Blue Heroes Foundation charity for ill children and their families.Guest review byHeidiIreland - 10

A great experience of the old Irish way full of culture and the traditional way of life. Joe wattys and the Bar are great for a meal and a drink with lots of options I'm getting around the island with bus/pony tours and electric bikes to offer.Guest review bydavinaIreland - 10
Had a wonderful adventure on Inishmore.
Had a wonderful adventure on Inishmore. While small, the people were warm and welcoming. Climbing Dum Aengus was one of the best things we’ve ever done- though not easy - worth it! The food at The Bar was very good and the owner very lovely. Found food all over Ireland to be vastly better than previous trips. Enjoy - life is short- play hard🙃Guest review byMaureenUnited States

It was lovely spending a rainy day wrapped in the blanket, sitting in front of the window. The shower worked great and it was quiet at night. Breakfast was exceptional, generous and delicious, with table service. Hosts and staff were absolutely lovely and their bus service to Kilronan is a treat, giving Kilmurvey House the feel of a somewhat secluded place as well as easily accessible. The entire place was immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. All of the staff was kind and helpful. I'm not really a breakfast eater, but the food was so delicious that I ate every morning I was there. Hot buffet with thick bacon sausage and eggs! Also had a seperate buffet with kiwi, apples, toast, & cereal. Great coffee and great value!
