A Boutique Paradise – Contessina Suites & Spa, Zakynthos Our stay at Contessina Suites & Spa was absolutely unforgettable – truly one of the best boutique hotels we’ve ever experienced. From the very beginning, we felt the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, thanks especially to the incredibly kind and attentive staff. We were lucky to receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a private pool and were warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine and a fresh fruit platter. At the end of our stay, we were even gifted a bottle of Contessina’s own olive oil – such a thoughtful gesture that made our departure bittersweet. Breakfast was a daily delight – fresh, varied, and always served with a smile. Every morning felt like a warm embrace. The on-site gym is small but modern, and for those wanting more space or equipment, the large and well-equipped gym at the sister hotel is just perfect. Highly recommended! This hotel combines luxury, soul, and genuine hospitality. We’ll be dreaming of Contessina for a long time to come.

If you are going to Zakynthos, this is the best and only right hotel to stay at. Our stay at Olea Suites was truly exceptional. From the very first moment we felt welcomed, seen, and cared for. The staff made all the difference – everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A SPECIAL and BIG thanks goes to Maria from reception, who checked in with us every day and solved every little request with such kindness. She made us feel at home in a way we’ve never experienced before. Also, a big thanks to the hotel manager, whose attention and care made our stay extraordinary and full of beautiful surprises. The hotel itself is breathtaking – modern, serene design, delicious food, and an atmosphere of pure relaxation. The cleanliness was outstanding, with housekeeping taking their time to make everything perfect. Even gardeners, drivers, and all other staff members greeted us with genuine warmth every time they saw us. We left Olea Suites with beautiful memories and can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are reading this because you are considering this hotel – take it as your sign to book. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel is situated on a sandy beach. Localisation is very practic, especially if you travel with children: coming into the sea through only few small stones (you don't need water-shoes, there are no algae, etc.), water is clean and not deep. It is also possible to rent sunbeds with umbrella for 20 Euro (in the price of hotel there are only sunbeds near to swimming pool included), but you can take also your own blanket and ley to the sand. Traveling from airport there is possibility of taking taxi (guaranted 25 Euro) or public bus in front of exit from the airport, near to colour map (3 Euro), but it comes only 6 times for the day and you need to change the bus for another (2 Euro) at Zakhyntos bus center, where conection is more often, usually every 60-90 minutes (direction Tsilivi, Tragaki).  You finally get off at "Tsilivi 1" bus stop and go 10 minutes on foot. Check-in is to do in the previous building of Tsilivi Hotels  where you also receive your breakfast and any help if you need (reception of Palazetto is permanently closed). The staff is helpful, towels new everyday, my room was eclxactly like on pictures.

    If you like to be in the center of the action (restaurants, bars, night life), Tsilivi is a good spot. If you are searching for something more relaxed, i advise to search for other locations in the island. Tsilivi is probably the best basis to visit all the rest of the island, very centered, but we were looking for a more relaxed and less"touristic" area.

    To me, it looks like a town organized for English tourists.

    To me, it looks like a town organized for English tourists. To much places, pubs are offering Sky Sports and specific European food. I prefer to see local taverns, with local food, local products and local music. Also, the city is family oriented. I highly recommend Yum Yum for food, Living Coffee for coffee, Trenta Nove Restaurant for a great desert and wine. Near the port, I recommend LIMANAKI Restaurant for great food and a great sunset view. As for the beach, I recommend the beach in front of Makai Resto Bar.

    We loved Tsilivi, it is not too quiet and not too busy.

    We loved Tsilivi, it is not too quiet and not too busy. There are plenty of good restaurants, the beach is very nice as well with a smooth entry in the water and a long distance until it becomes too deep. Most of the beach has suneds, a pair + an umbrella starts at 20 euros a day. There are also a few places to go for fun activities such as mini golf, bowling, pool and a game arena. The city is very close to the airport and other cities around that are worth a visit.

    We found Tsilivi to be absolutely lovely and very convenient – a place where you can find everything you’d want on vacation. There are plenty of sea sports and activities for all ages, along with many nice restaurants, bars, pastry shops, bakeries, and even apothekes, so you’re never missing anything. It’s a lively yet family-friendly area, offering something for everyone in our family to enjoy. Another big plus is its location – being so close to Zakynthos Town, you can get there in less than 15 minutes. Truly a great base for both relaxation and exploration!

    We have been there 14 times over the past 25 years.

    We have been there 14 times over the past 25 years. Tsilivi town gets rammed in the evening and getting more so each year. The beach at Tsilivi is clean and shallow, but a strong current pushes you along the beach, not dangerous but you won't get out where you entered. So keep an eye on your children. The restaurants are a plenty, food same old. A few stand out. A fun place to visit, and well worth going to if you have never been.

    Tsilivi has been a family favourite for nearly 20 years. The beaches, restaurants and nightlife are great. You can go to a quiet area or if you want a more lively atmosphere the town has it all. My Wedding was in Tsilivi in 2014 and it was amazing. Will always go back.

    Location was great, minutes walk from the busy town with lots of bars and restaurants, about five minutes walk from the beach but a further 5 for the best part of the beach which was just beautiful. Friendly staff who were lovely to chat to and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were varied with a hot breakfast always available and lots of pastries both savoury and sweet which were different each day. A very relaxing hotel with a beautiful pool and plenty of room to lounge all day beside it.

    Perfectly located on the outskirts of Tsilivi away from the noise but not too long a walk into town. Tota is perfect for anyone that is looking to explore the island and just needs a base camp rather than the dreadful all inclusive experience. Maria and Filippos are wonderful hosts and provide an excellent service, Maria even helped me change the tyre on my hire car passed sunset on my final evening.

    This hotel is right on the beach and had everything that was needed in the room. There was a fridge, hairdryer, safe and air conditioning. The room was cleaned every day and linen/towels changed every two days. The staff cannot do enough for you and are always friendly. The view from the balcony was a lovely sea view. Would definitely stay here again.
