The location, the serenity, the greeting from staff and the card inside the room. The room appointment was superb and had tasteful little extras for our enjoyment, like sparkling water, homemade biscuits and quality coffee to percolate yourself. Our breakfast was also lovingly cooked by Chef and host Nathan. The quality was excellent, especially my porridge!

Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and made to feel at home straightaway. We decided to eat at the restaurant and the choice was good and I went for the vegan fish and chips which was delicious. We slept really well; the beds were really comfortable and the facilities clean and fitting to the style. The next morning, we went for breakfast and our hostess Lucy couldn't have been more adorable and helpful. I had been feeling homesick for the UK as I hadn't been 'home' for three years and she went out of her way to make sure I had a great experience and felt comfortable. I felt a little emotional and she brought me tea, extra vegan scrambled egg and gave me a hug. I can't express how much her small acts of kindness really helped me to relax and enjoy my stay. She really made staying at the Cornishman exceptional. The rest of the staff were equally lovely, but Lucy really deserves a special mention.

Wonderful in every way. Everything was brand new with nothing too much trouble for the staff. High quality decor in the room and a power shower. The bed was so comfortable. Everything you need in the room including a microwave and fridge. Overlooking beautiful gardens and the park. Everything was very clean and the parking was right outside. Will be back again soon. Friendly area with a lovely little pub about a one minute walk.

    On arrival we were super impressed with the initial astetick...

    On arrival we were super impressed with the initial astetick outlay of the property, for us the photos on booking.com did NOT do the property justice, they had thought of everything, in the past when renting these types of properties we have had to purchase the basics such as milk tea bags, but on arrival this was already here on arrival, we felt at home instantly and too the children it was ‘luxury’ we would have happily stayed for longer and this is a property that truly made you feel at home, we didn’t want to leave.
