This was a picturesque quintessential English cottage with all the modern comforts. Everything was beautiful from the plush beds, couch and arm chairs to the lovely garden outside. The host managers were very responsive and helpful and the instructions detailed enough to find and enter the property easily. If there was ever a perfect example of a cottage stay in a quiet town with great value for money this was it. The kitchen was well stocked and we had milk in the fridge, coffee/ tea and biscuits. There was a washer and dryer and dishwasher with appropriate detergents available. We used this stay as a base to visit the Cotswolds, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon. You do need a car to get here but definitely worth it

This is a beautiful old 16th century property with all the quirkiness you might expect of such an old building. The beds were very comfortable and we found it quiet at night for sleeping. We met the charming owner Kate when we went to the cafe downstairs for breakfast. Kate was very helpful and wanted to hear any criticisms we might have to help them improve.

    pencombe is very remote, down tiny country lanes, non confident drivers may find this an issue. however if you can cope with this the sceenery is great. not much to do in pencombe but very near to major towns,plenty to go and visit within a shortish drive.
