The Winnock is the oldest Hotel in the UK. It was full of character and charm. The location was perfect for exploring the Trossachs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very clean, with new mattress envelopes on each bed. The Hotel bar had a great dinner and friendly service. The entertainment was really very good, a great way to spend a Friday night in the Scottish countryside! The roaring fireplace was perfect to warm up after a long hike .

Wea arrived quite tired after a wet drive from Manchester. We were greeted by Cliff who carried our bags to our room. And showed us around. Wow the inside was palatial as was our room. The breakfasts were brilliantly cooked and lots of food by Christina. We could not ask for more.

I adored every little detail – from the cozy atmosphere to the incredible hot tub, which was absolutely divine. I’m already looking forward to coming back and will definitely plan another trip to Scotland just to stay here longer. We spent one evening in the byre, the first evening of our walk. The place is in a very convenient location, just next to the hiking trail. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the hosts were lovely. For the future lodgers: ask for the pizza in the evening ;)
