Flore is a quiet little village just outside Northampton.

It's an English village or small town in a nice part of the countryside that does exactly what you expect. It just happens to be about 10 miles away from Silverstone too. While I was there I did a little green-laning and exploring and also dropped my motorbike on a gravel slope. In the middle of nowhere at dusk a couple appeared in a pick-up truck and not only helped me pick up the bike but insisted on waiting with me for sometime as I had a problem (caused by a bit of gravel stopping the side-stand going fully up it turned out). The effort they went to to help me out, phoning friends who had motorbikes and anything that they could to help left me a bit humbled and reminded me that there's actually quite a nice world out there. The host was very friendly and helpful on arrival. I stayed in one of the coverted outbuildings. Easy to come and go from the room without feeling you might wake-up or irate another guest. The room had everything you need, very basic but clean and the mattress was really comfortable. And the dogs were amazing and loved some attention. The bed was so comfortable I must have slept for over 12hours! It felt like a fancy hotel get away but at a fraction of the cost The breakfast was exceptional and for how much was plated up the cost was brilliant and cooked to perfection. The cabin was clean and comfortable with modern accessories (tv, bed, heater, AC, kettle, fridge, shower, sofa). Free on-site parking. Had a fenced in garden for our dogs. Swimming pool (although we didn’t have time to use it). The owners/staff were very friendly. The Cabin is much better than a hotel and cheaper. A beautiful property set in lovely grounds with mature trees and garden, peaceful and quiet. Kitchen was well equipped, cereal, milk, tea, coffee and snacks provided. Owners were responsive to any queries but respected our privacy. Beds were very comfortable, heating provided and also a fan. Breakfast was simple with healthy choices of cereal. You could also order a nice hot breakfast which Patricia makes with your dietary references . Overall a very pleasant stay indeed.
