My stay at Nutsford House near Dulverton was nothing short of delightful. Nestled within a sprawling countryside estate, the atmosphere was serene and picturesque. Accompanied by my mother, we were warmly welcomed into a charming double bed bedroom that exuded comfort and tranquility. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the warm hospitality extended by the owners. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Their furry companions, a cat and a dog, added an extra layer of coziness to the ambiance, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I had dinner here and you know when you really suddenly find a place and absolutely love it but you wonder what it's gonna be like to actually stay there... it was amazing. The rooms and the detail of the historic restoration make it so cozy but it's so friendly. It's chic but not stuffy or pretentious. That's what makes it wonderful. Not just friendly to people but really dog friendly. So you're there in the most stunning setting. It's like being in heaven- you're in wild and wooly, romantic Exmoor where you can sit out on the terrace perched high above a stream and look out. Or go out and walk in the countryside. It's secluded but conveniently located to be able to go down to Exeter or up somewhere else onto the coast. It's just perfect and the restaurant is fantastic and well worth the detour to just to go to the restaurant. I can't wait to come back again and most guests come back year after year...

The location was perfect opposite the village car park with a donation charge of 50p. The accommodation was perfect with all the expected facilities and more. The pub and accommodation were both immaculately clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. Would definitely choose to stay again if visiting the area.

    Dulverton is a wonderful small town located in the middle of...

    Dulverton is a wonderful small town located in the middle of some beautiful countryside. There are all the shops you need with coffee shops, a fish and chip restaurant/takeaway and more. There are many car parks if you cannot find on street parking. As a solo traveller, I felt completely safe and there are lots of walks around the town to take a stroll with or without a dog. The river runs through Dulverton and there is a small area where you can sit and relax. It is very accessible to the moor and coast although if you are in a larger vehicle/camper-van, the roads are narrower. It can rain - and it did! I just enjoyed being back home and visiting friends and the old haunts. Just remember to pack proper footwear and a mac!

    Dulverton is a beautiful town, very picturesque with a river running through it. Plenty of eating places and a few pubs. We ate in the Bridge pub, the food was amazing. There was a Thai restaurant but it was very popular and we were unable to book a table and wished we had booked before we arrived. A co-op supermarket, plenty of tea rooms. My husband had a few drinks in the Wood pub, new owners who were very welcoming,

    A beautiful, obviously very community minded village. Very "old England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿", in a nice way. Lovely individual, privately owned shops, garage, cafes, pubs etc.in a stunning setting. Some lovely Charity shops there too. Highly recommended by me.👌

    Parking quite expensive, but you could park for 1hour on some roads for free. Few interesting little shops & places to eat. Little museum & model railway was interesting & free! It's quite an attractive little village, old with hills & river running by it. Worth a look round.

    Dulverton is a favourite place of mine.

    Dulverton is a favourite place of mine. It’s rural so plenty of lovely walks, River Exe, local towns to visit on Exmoor. Dulverton has some great local produce shops, fruit & veg, butchers, home & gift shops, fishing tackle, walking equipment. A yummy fish & chip shop. Superb restaurant called Woods. Very dog friendly. They are welcome ever.

    'The town mills' is so convenient for Dulverton. A lovely garden through to their car park. The down stairs suite was lovely with everything we wanted for our stay plus lovely extras we did not expect. Charles and Alison are great hosts, unfortunately, Alison was indisposed during our stay. But Charles was great doing everything on his own. Great breakfast with options including veggie. Would also recommend 'woods restaurant' and 'the mill inn' both excellent food and service. Will definitely stay again. Sandra and Ken. Dawlish Devon.

    Alison was an exceptional host. She gave us lots of great suggestions for local walks, meals out, and cooked a superb breakfast each morning. Town Mills is perfectly located to explore Dulverton and Exmoor either on foot or further afield by car. We would stay there again.
