Great location - close to the Cotswolds and Oxford, but better value accommodation. Lovely walk on the Thames path to Days lock. Dorchester has 3 pubs/hotels in a small village - the best is the White Hart for food, but The George and Fleur-de-lys also serve great food.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford. Pretty village with good pubs, corner shop and farm cafe. Comfy bed and very clean. Terrible shower and noise in the evening from the pub downstairs. Pub garden needs a tidy up.

A picturesque village with Dorchester Abbey right in the heart with services anyone can join in. The choir and music are wonderful. Beautiful walks alongside the Rivers Thame and Thames, and if you are a fan of Midsomer Murders you will be in your element, quite a few scenes have been filmed here, you can even go on a Midsomer Murder walk around the village. We will definitely return.

It is a lovely quiet village with some nice walks to do and also you can go further afield if you want to visit Oxford. We did a good walk to the nearby Lock and there was a coffee shop to visit on our return that served light lunches and cakes etc. We ate our main meals in 2 hotels and both places had a good selection to choose from and the food was lovely.

Dorchester-on-Thames is a nice quiet village away from main roads. It has a large abbey building and many pleasant walks in and outside the village, including to the river Thames itself, a mile or so to the West of the village.

Friendly staff and location. We ate in the evening at the hotel, food was good and prices were standard for pub grub at £16 for a main meal . It was taco Tuesday and I enjoyed them , my wife had the pie of the day which was also fine. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked and above average for a 3* hotel

Excellent location with super views over the country and immediate access to one of the many walks around Dorchester on Thames. Also, easy access to the village itself where we were holding a music festival.

This is a fabulous hotel with lovely accommodation, a great bar and two fantastic dining rooms. Andrew (the manager), Ace, Aaron, Jasmine and Brooke also deserve a mention as friendly and helpful staff.
