Cleator Moor is very quiet & peaceful. For the active tourist, there's plenty to see and do. Walks are well-marked and as long, or short, as you like. Most shops & takeaways are arranged along 1 road. There are areas that are uncultivated, promoting natural habitats. The area is attractive and appealing to the amateur photographer. The bus service seems reliable & regular. A local leisure centre contains a swimming pool (book before going).
