The property was exactly as per the photos & exceptionally well renovated. The design features indicated a real focus on detail, like the electric toothbrush charger, the power points with built in phone charger access & the wonderfully thick & soft towels.

Everything was great. Very comfortable beds, elegant furniture, a fantastic selection of coffee, teas, cookies, etc, great choices for breakfast, and the owners were very helpful, providing a shed to store our bicycles in overnight. It felt like this is how all guest houses should be (but often aren't)!

The cottage was lovely, enough heaters to keep everyone warm after their long day walking in the snow. It was spacious with 2 lounges which was great if you're a family. The fire was an extra bonus - so cosy! Rooms just what is needed and spacious bathroom. Ian was lovely in helping us find the cottage, location is great for walks. Very peaceful, we will be visiting again. Thank you! ☺️

Hotel is very dated and not at all complementing to traveller of 2025, it is stood still in time of 1970's. Beautiful building and equally horrendous the facilties provided in the room. Saying that I we could not fault the location, it is easily accessible to all the nearby attractions

We enjoyed Buxton, was surprised at the lack of Indian restaurants- only one and when we rang it closed at 9pm - there is two separate “bar” areas one at the top of the hill and one with micro bars at the other.

A fantastic place to stay, big comfy room and snuggly bed, robes were provided for the spa. The bathroom had lovely shampoo, shower gel and even conditioner (which is rare in hotels). The facilities included in the price are amazing, and there are so many extras you can pay for its difficult to choose. Its right in the centre of Buxton and very easy to find. The breakfast was amazing and had so much choice, and it was all great quality.

We always try and stay at the Westminster Hotel when we are in Buxton. It is in a beatiful location overlooking the Pavilion Gardens and within close walking distance to Buxton Opera House and all the other amenities Buxton has to offer. It provides an excellent choice of breakfast served directly to your table. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and we always enjoy a very relaxed stay here. There is also parking on site.

Room & interior of the hotel was spotlessly clean, warm welcome, lots of little extras, sweets left out, signs in prominent places, extra bottled water etc, internet worked well, good breakfast, great location for Buxton Market Square - on & off street parking available. For me the big question is always - Would I stay there again, in this case 100% Yes.

The location for Buxton Opera House is excellent, couldn't be closer. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, as was the Early Bird dinner...excellent food and great value for money. The hotel is quaint with a great history. Being able to get a parking permit payable on departure was very helpful.
