Room & ensuite was lovely, clean and spacious. Hosts have thought of everything you might need; hot water bottles, water, snacks. You can buy items you might have forgotten. Really good continental breakfast. Lovely comfy bed. Would go back and can wholeheartedly recommend.

Very close to Gatwick airport but a bit difficult to reach it by public transport with luggage. Very accomodating with late arrival. Very clean, cozy and comfy small room for 1. Absolutely fine for an airport stay. Friendly staff and informative. Simple but good English Breakfast.

Location!! For an early flight this was fantastic. Located in the south terminal the hotel is just a short shuttle ride to the north terminal where we departed from. We were able to check out bags in the evening before so the departure in the morning was very easy. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

    I have stayed at The Old House before and loved it.

    I have stayed at The Old House before and loved it. Unfortunately when I tried to book again it was always full, but I managed to get this short break. The pub is in a convenient location for visiting my family. There is a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome. The room-it was the same one twice as per my request-was perfect for my elderly mother with mobility issues. There was a wet room which meant my Mum could shower easily. The beer garden is lit up at night and looks magical. When we arrived on a Saturday, the beer garden was full. There were many families enjoying the sun and it there was a relaxed feel to the place. Despite the planes from Gatwick and the beer garden, the room was quiet and both myself and my Mum had good sleep.

    Burstow is a small village near to Gatwick Airport - close...

    Burstow is a small village near to Gatwick Airport - close enough, but not so that one is bothered by aircraft noise. It is an ideal place for a night's stay before travelling from the airport, being about a fifteen to twenty minute drive away. There are three or four pubs / restaurants within about one mile.

    The staff were friendly but the food was appalling and room was very shabby. The sheets were clean but no tea available & the coffee machine not working. Left before breakfast service and no alternative offered. Don’t go there.

    I didn't really like anything.

    I didn't really like anything. I wanted a comfortable place for one overnight before leaving from nearby airport in the morning, where I could also get an evening meal. I should have stayed at the airport.

    We were attending a family gathering.

    We were attending a family gathering. Travel to & from the venue was straight forward & there were a number of local places to stop & visit. The food at the accommodation was so good that we continued to utilise & eat there. Plenty of other restaurants nearby though.

    Is this group still solvent?

    Is this group still solvent? Tried calling head office 020 7584 9898 phone line not working. No replies to my e-mails. No replies calling their hotel? The Old House Inn, no replies via e-mails with this hotel? I was injured whilst recently staying at their hotel it appears to no one is available?
