The Winnock is the oldest Hotel in the UK. It was full of character and charm. The location was perfect for exploring the Trossachs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very clean, with new mattress envelopes on each bed. The Hotel bar had a great dinner and friendly service. The entertainment was really very good, a great way to spend a Friday night in the Scottish countryside! The roaring fireplace was perfect to warm up after a long hike .

Amazing place. I loved everything. Andrew was very helpful and gave me a bigger room than I had paid for. Beautiful grounds and beautiful views. Lovely dogs which are very happy to be fussed over. Amazing staff who served delicious food. I can't praise this place enough.

Wea arrived quite tired after a wet drive from Manchester. We were greeted by Cliff who carried our bags to our room. And showed us around. Wow the inside was palatial as was our room. The breakfasts were brilliantly cooked and lots of food by Christina. We could not ask for more.

I adored every little detail – from the cozy atmosphere to the incredible hot tub, which was absolutely divine. I’m already looking forward to coming back and will definitely plan another trip to Scotland just to stay here longer.     Breakfast was what we needed. Cereal and toast. No cooked breakfast as really self catering. Balfron is a small place but we were out most days so only needed sandwiches and there were a couple of small supermarkets so no problems.
