The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Iona who went above and beyond when our other accommodation had fallen through. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite. Dinner was delicious and again the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. There isn't any on-site parking but we managed to get a park on the street opposite.

The hotel was run efficiently and was clean and functional. It felt peaceful, like a little escape and I loved reading about the history. The grounds are very pretty and are carefully looked after. I had a lovely breakfast. I wished I could have stayed longer.
