A pleasant and historic town in an excellent location beside the River Seine. Well worth a visit or short stay in this very scenic part of the countryside. Lovely village resting on the Seine.
Lovely village resting on the Seine. It does take time and effort to get to by train and bus. If you are interested in history the Chateau Gaillard is worth the trip. It is also a good idea to do your homework before coming and to know the train and bus timetables. The hosts Bruno and Laurent were very friendly and made us very welcome. The room was lovely, and the bed was extremely comfortable. They gave us pre-dinner drinks and canapés, and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. We could not rate this place and the hosts highly enough.
