The location of Villa Lara was perfect! There were several restaurants and historic landmarks within easy walking distance. The staff was incredible. The owner took us on a tour of the city which was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is also in a perfect location to meet tour companies for the Normandy WWII tours. Outstanding stay!

It is a very nice chateau located in a rural area in Normandy. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday there. The building is with the history, the restaurant is fantastic with the selection from 3-7 courses menu. Staff is so friendly, special thank you to Nazar who helped me to organise the present for my daughter. Also, they gave her a bouquet of roses from their garden, it was such a special gift. We are glad that we chose this place to stay in for such special occasion!

I slept so well in a wonderful bed and fully enjoyed my clean and modern room. The breakfast was truly amazing (as it was served in the 4* sister hotel), the staff friendly and helpful. Too bad there was no time to try the spa, but the small hotel bar was nice. Great location in the town centre, with a secure parking space for a fair price. I would have loved to stay longer.

The personnel was very friendly, the room very tidy and the bathroom clean though small. The hotel breakfast is also worth mentioning with many delicacies and nice interior. Also, the hotel is right in the heart of Bayeux.

Excellent choice for breakfast, fresh fruit, pastries , jams, cheeses , charcuterie, good coffee and deliciously light and tasty scrambled eggs and bacon. Location for breakfast in a beautifully decorated original wood panelled room looking out on the picturesque garden. The hotel is so near to many cafes, shops and restaurants and the museums and cathedral. We were delighted to emerge on Saturday morning into the colour and bustle of the weekly market in Place St Patrice just beside the hotel.

    This is a small renovated cottage within a larger property,...

    This is a small renovated cottage within a larger property, but excellently restored and very private. There are a few safety issues, especially in the seating/kitchen area due to staircase locations (height and one downward set overlapping the cooker) but this is to be expected and not too much of an issue at all. You will love the cottage.....and the covered swimming pool just over the hedge! The hosts are top dollar. Bless them!

    We had a wonderful stay in the small but nice cottage in the garden. Arnaud and Jessica are very open and friendly hosts and there was even a welcome surprise in the fridge. Our French from school days is unfortunately very poor, but Arnaud speaks very good English, so communication was very easy. The house and the garden are really uniquely beautiful. The garden is a real paradise behind high walls, where you can relax wonderfully. We will definitely come back and try out the great pool. Thank you very much for your hospitality and the lovingly designed ambience. Best regards from Uwe, Viktoria and Richard
