The town is stunning.

Lovely small traditional French town with battlements and...
Lovely small traditional French town with battlements and lovely small streets etc. Not much English spoken anywhere we went so bear that in mind. We had a drink in Le Foy, very friendly, bought out a dog bowl. Langres has history, some of which has been sorely neglected...
Langres has history, some of which has been sorely neglected. It is the birthplace of Diderot. Langres is on the case. I think it has huge potential. We only stayed in Langres as a stop over en route to the south of France, but found that it is a wonderful city with a long history, encircled by old city walls, and with many interesting landmarks. Arrived with only a little time before it became un staffed...
Arrived with only a little time before it became un staffed hotel for the night. Rushed in our booking & also booked breakfast. Then realised it was to late for us to eat as we had to leave early in the am to catch Le Shuttle. Cancelled it but couldn't have tge £ directly refunded on our card & had to fill in some paperwork. This is a small busy walled town one of the finest you will ever see The ramparts can be fully walked and kept in excellent condition. A superb cathedral and several museums are worth a visit and punch above their weight for the size of town.
