We found Dinan to be a beautifully kept quiet and picturesque area just outside of the main tourist areas of Dinard and St Malo. There is an abundance of things to do and great opportunities to enjoy fine cuisine and an endless supply of magnificent wine and spirits. Road and rail connections are available nearby and its a great base to explore Brittainy. One of the most notable attractions is Mont Saint Michel, an abbey that has stood for more than 1000 years. There are hotels to suit all pockets in easy reach some of which are overlooking the beach. Dinan also has its own small airfield where a warm welcome awaits for Private pilots. It may also be possible to arrange a pleasure flight from where you could enjoy spectacular aerial views of the Norman and Brittainy coastlines.Guest review byTimothyJersey - 10.0

The beautiful old houses & the interesting small shops. We had some meals at a restaurant at the bottom of the street,. The mussels there were fantastic as was the cider. Generally the Breton gallettes were very interesting & well worth trying as were the crepes, of course. We only stopped for one night on the way to SW Brittany. We should have stayed longer as Dinan looked interesting. Dinan is a beautiful town, particularly the old walled-city part (of course), and its location on the Rance is fantastic. By all means be sure to take at least a short walk along the river (though be prepared for a steep walk back up into the town!).Guest review byBillWillUnited States - 10.0
