    Have been to Dieppe many times previously and love it.

    Have been to Dieppe many times previously and love it. Lovely views, next to the harbour and sea, great choice of restaurants, although we are addicted to Le Tout Va Bien, which suits us perfectly. The only downside at the moment is that the main bridge for easy access to the sea front and harbour is closed. I gather work is 10 months behind schedule, and the tortuous diversion for motorists is very poorly signposted..:(

    Dieppe has everything for a short break and lots of restaurants to choose from, The market is fantastic and the kite festival was on. Lovely long walk along the prom. The station is just ten minutes walk from the town and the harbour Is very picturesque.

    The cafés and restaurants all serve local fare, but if you're self-catering, the market and Carrefour shops in the centre have all you need to make some interesting meals. The little shops are excellent with lots of local souvenirs, but they're quite pricey. The castle is well worth a visit, including an amazing art gallery and information about the history of the Dieppe region. There's also plenty to do in the surrounding area and some guides are available for interesting themed walks around the town. A pity the Pont Colbert is out of service as this causes lots of wasted time crossing the estuary.

    There are nice day trips to be done from Dieppe.

    There are nice day trips to be done from Dieppe. I went to the pretty resort of Le Tréport and went up there (free !) Funicular Railway for a magnificent view at the top. Then took a 45 minute train-ride to the beautiful historic city of Rouen on the river Seine.

    Chateau museum closed Monday and Tuesday.

    Chateau museum closed Monday and Tuesday. 6.5 euro admission charge, but worth visiting. Lovely 12-14 century church free to visit. Motor boat rides from the harbour approx 14 euros for about 45 mins out and back, but commentary only in French. Moules frites from about 15 euros at many restaurants. Cheap hot dog and burger stalls along the beach from 3.50 for a hot dog in french bread.

    An another day would have given us a chance to visit the...

    An another day would have given us a chance to visit the castle. We arrived in the town in good time to find a cafe for breakfast but found it quite hard to find somewhere to eat. The large church seemed closed.. We did learn a bit about WW2 landings from the signs around the town.

    The hotel is in the old part of town, a quieter part. Our room was large with comfortable beds, very clean and secure (there is a room safe). You can walk in a few moments to many bars and restaurants, but the hotel is quiet. Private parking is available a minute away and at a reasonable cost. You can park on the streets but Dieppe is popular and places can be hard to find and less secure. The terrace and health spa a peaceful.

    This hotel is in a great location, right on the sea front. Parking in Dieppe is very difficult so having a (secure) car park (albeit 13€ a day) is a bonus. The breakfast was first class and it's good that it is in the restaurant on the 4th floor with a great view over the sea front via the panoramic window the length of the room.

    This is a quaint old fashioned hotel in the heart of Dieppe with an excellent restaurant. No lift. Wouldn’t appeal to those who want all modern facilities but clean, simple and we loved it. Right in the heart of the market. No car parking. Not suitable for those with a disability.
