Cahors is a nice little city.
Cahors is a nice little city. There isn't much spectacular to see or do, but it kept me busy for a day. The medieval bridge is nice, the cathedral was worth a visit, and it's nice to walk next to the river that encircles the city. Keep in mind, on Sundays, nearly everything is closed. Even finding a restaurant for dinner was a struggle. I wonder if the locals even eat on a Sunday...Guest review byPeterBelgium - 10.0

Cahors is a lovely old town which was great for an overnight stop. However, don't go on a Sunday or Monday as most places are closed, especially in the old town which was the part we were mainly interested in. Had a fab meal in L'Auberge restaurant in the old part of the town. We had to google restaurants that were open Sunday evenings and this came up. Modern clean and comfortable rooms in a sympathetically renovated old building right in the heart of Cahors. Easy walking distance to Pont Valentre and all areas of Cahors, restaurants and bars etc. The property has guest parking behind locked gates so is secure if you want to bring bicycles. Lovely breakfast with homemade produce. The host is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. Oh and there is a swimming pool, great after a day's riding or sightseeing. A very quiet area but right in the centre of Cahors in the old part of the city. The apartment was spotless, modern and perfect for us. The bathroom and the whole decor of the bedroom, com dining room, com kitchen were beautifully designed and it was a very restful, calm space.
