1. Host was very accommodating. Showed us around the house and how to use the facilities in the house. 2. Gave us toothbrush set, bath sponge, oranges, muffin, mineral water and laundry powder/liquid. 3. A spacious, open air backyard for hanging our laundry with retractable roof cover. 4. Very complete kitchen and house facilities. 5. Supermarket is around 100 metres away. Very convenient to shop for our groceries. 6. Free parking in front of the house.

I booked this hotel based on it being closer to the castle than staying in the old town. What an excellent decision, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, set in huge gardens with the most number of citrus trees I've ever seen! I paid extra for a room with a view, we had Room 1 which had a large balcony looking up to the castle with a table and chairs, just lovely. The room itself was spacious, had a separate lounge area with 2 enormous comfortable chairs, so it was nice to be able to sit somewhere other than just the bed. The shower had a rain head and there was plenty of space on the vanity. Room had a small fridge, cupboard and desk area. The bed was comfortable with nice linen and pillows. Breakfast was in a separate outdoor room and was a lovely spread, freshly cooked eggs and a nice selection of pastries, cereal, bread as well as fresh juice and good coffee. Pool area was clean and there is access to a part of the castle walls which form a boundary of the hotel. There is also a large cistern underground, ask at reception and they will organise a tour for you. Thanks so much for a lovely stay! Would highly recommend.

Really convenient. Rooms in secure compound on ground floor level. Parking outside door of room. Clean. A little dated but good value for money and suited us as a stop over on our way south. Will definitely consider staying over again.
