There is some historical places to visit in the immediate area, including some stunning hikes and trails. In the wider area, good, easy access to Granada, the Alhambra, beaches and towns along the south coast. Stunning scenery, very near to Sierra Nevada national park. The 400-year-old house has been beautifully restored and is tastefully decorated and filled with art and antiques. Our host was generous, kind and attentive. Even though we arrived late by bike she produced an incredible three-course meal (the best food we’ve had during our holiday in Spain). The breakfast was also filling and delicious. So pretty, so peaceful, well appointed rooms wth everything you need. Lovely grounds. Restaurant not cheap but well worth it. Staff so lovely and welcoming. Didn't use the hamam, at 38° that was not something we considered! Local village of Nigüelas was just a short walk and had lovely bars to while away the evening.
