Working town - agricultural and furniture making - yet very relaxed and friendly. Easy to visit Caceres - and still enjoy the wildlife and natural environment of Los Barruecos and small town ambience. Loved Plaza with its canopy of umbrellas. Museum about the droving of huge herds of sheep between pastures is fascinating - though all captions in Spanish. Important museum/gallery in Los Barruecos.Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom

Very clean standard, no frills hotel. Very adequate three course dinner, with bread and a glass of wine for just 15eur. Our waiter, Juan, was brilliant. He put a note on our table welcoming us , translated into English , and was very friendly and helpful. We even got a handshake and kisses after dinner. Dog friendly hotel with marvellous natural park and an international standard art gallery nearby - friendly town - nice walk round lake nearby.
