Beautiful little town.
Beautiful little town. A bit precious for our taste, but historically in tact and very well run. Incredible architecture and beautiful scenery. Gaudí’s Caprice is not to be missed. We wandered up on foot into the hills, and enjoyed fantastic views and beautiful winding cobblestone streets. Comillas is a lovely small town with beach and the astonishing Capricho de Gaudí, well with a visit. Our host, Jorge, could not have been more helpful with suggestions of places to visit and even accommodating us the watch the World Cup on arrival! Lovely little town not too far from the motorway.
Lovely little town not too far from the motorway. Perfect place to overnight en route to Santander or use as a base to explore the area. Walkable if you’re OK with steep bits. Nice beach within walking distance. Good selection of bars and restaurants but worth noting that as in many touristy places out of season many of them are closed in the evenings. The lovely family owners welcomed us back again, superb breakfasts every morning as before. The quiet rural location is perfect for us, yet within ten minutes drive of all the facilities of Comillas plus its beaches.
