Love La Caleta, love Hotel El Paraiso, stayed three times now and always delightful. Reception staff always friendly and helpful, hotel always clean and sparkling, rooms very comfortable, and lovely sea views of all that's going on. . .and that's plenty going on. The area had a convenient supermarket and we were a short walk to the beach. There were a few bars and restaurants but a couple of them were not open. The beach was busy most days especially in the evenings. Quiet and residential also with a nice marina area. Great walking next to the sea everyday. The marina was interesting.I loved seeing the authentic houses instead of blocks of flats. Local people were friendly. Everything is at hand. I ate in a good fish restaurant and a good Italian one; both on the sea front. The prices are good. The bar Manolo is very good value. It’s a very old Spanish area not on the tourist trail, so there are very few English people and hardly any bars or restaurants that speak english, which for us, is the fun of it.
