It was a clean and friendly hostel. The staff and owner were great. Shared bathroom down the hall was kept clean.

My stay at this hotel in Algeria turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of my trip. While there were some initial hiccups with payment options—credit cards and ATMs being generally difficult to use throughout the country, the warmth and care of the staff more than made up for it. From the moment I arrived, I was treated like family. The team was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. You could tell they care deeply about their guests and each other. The setting was simply stunning. I often found myself wishing I could have a door in my house that opened to the same breathtaking view - miles of peaceful landscape, total tranquility, and a night sky full of stars. Walking around the grounds, seeing the farm animals and fresh produce, added to the charm of the stay.

The place is really nice. The swimming pool is clean, relatively large, and in a really nice garden. Be aware that the garden might not always be available to you (check below for more details). I don't know whether what happened to me was an exception or the rule on Fridays. One of the main holidays of the year was coming up. It's possible that the pool and garden being reserved for the owner family memebers was an exception. Dinner at the hotel in the garden was very expensive (triple what you would pay outside), but good quality food and healthy (contrary to outside food). The owner of the place speaks french and seems a good man, although we did not speak much. Air conditioning in the room works well. Also the bathroom applicances work well (can't say the same for the rest of Algeria). The owner arranged contact with a good guide at a reasonable price. That was very helpful! Be aware that the owner charges quite a significant fee for each service he arranges for you with guides (from 30% to about 100% of the guide price). I think this is to be expected. If you don't have a guide yet, it's good that you pay the owner of the hotel to recommend one, but then it's better to cut the middleman in planning any further activity.
