Magnificent sea view, ample space for all family members, amenities for all that you can need, sauna is a plus, clean, close to many restaurants, cafés, and bars. Would definitely want to return. It was my husband's favorite in this trip.

We really enjoyed the stay - a small house at the host’s garden, but very private. After reconstruction, everything new, nice, clean. We had a coffee maker and capsules + milk + sugar in the small kitchen plus microwave. Comfy bed, big bathroom.

Easy parking, nice updated rooms with very nice beds. Breakfast was also very good, best bacon I've had in a while. For the price I paid this was way over my expectations.

My fiancé and I were getting married in the Helsingor town hall. Skandia hotel is only a few minutes walk! Staff was friendly and incredibly helpful for our needs. I needed an iron (given) and asked about parking for my makeup artist the next day. The next morning our townhall appointment was at 11am and checkout was also 11am. They stored our luggage until we came back a few hours later. Let us change clothes in our old room even( I was expecting the lobby bathroom) and still held our bags for longer so we could go to lunch. Through all of this they could have charged us for the room longer but they didn't! This shows they care what is best for the customer. Note- This is an older hotel. I think its very well maintained but let's say it has older charm. But the breakfast buffet was delicious!

    Espergaerde is a beautiful quiet town with a lovely small beach and jetty for swimming. It has an excellent train service to Helsingor and Copenhagen. It has shops, restaurants, cafes, and plenty of ice cream. It was within walking and cycling distance of where we wanted to go. It would be great if Espergaerde had a cycle hire place for visitors. We walked to Louisiana Museum Gallery along the quiet coastal route - perfect.
