First day we had taken and Apartment and for the second day a double room in Resort. Rooms very clean and well maintained. Indoor swimming pool was also very well maintained. The staff at the reception and in the Restaurant were highly courteous. Overall, really liked the property.

    Winterberg exceeded expectations.

    Winterberg exceeded expectations. One believes that you would need to go to Switzerland or Austria to have a great ski holiday, but the truth is a short 4 hour drive from the middle of the Netherlands you are in a place where as a beginner skier you have everything you might want! There might be more challenging slopes, but I did not attempt those this time around, I will surely be back again to see more..

    Winterberg has the nostalgie of the past and combines that with the needs of the younger sporty generation, including families. Public transport is well organized and free for visitors who stay one or more nights.

    If you go to Winterberg, do it for the nature.

    If you go to Winterberg, do it for the nature. Lovely for walking or touring with your car or motorbike. The village Winterberg is not that special, but it has nice restaurants and a good icecream café. Take a look at other bigger villages for daytrips. River the Eder and Edersee are also very beautifull!

    Although there was not a lot of snow, some areas were still open as they provided fake snow for people to ski. This was perfect for my partner and me as we were still beginners with skiing. Therefore, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to start learning to ski. Also, things were quite cheap there regarding food/ groceries and also leisure such as going to a wellness center.

    The area is a professional ski resort and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, we had no snow in the first week of the year. Aside of snow sports, I can recommend the indoor playground MonkeyIsland because of the fair prices and their kind service. Our kids had a lot of fun there. Also, the wild park in Willingen filled a whole day of fun for all ages.

    Perfect location, everything’s near!

    Perfect location, everything’s near! Wonderful views of the room we had..Mountain View and lawn view plus the sound of the rooster not only early in the morning cockadoodling but during the day as well! Makes you feel in a remote village. Breakfast was ample and sumptuous, friendly staffs, lovely ambience, everything is neat. We had massage as well and it was so relaxing 4 nights stay at this lovely hotel! The small cozy restaurant served scrumptious schnitzel and trout fish and with portion of fresh green salad. However, we didn’t enjoy the swimming pool, twas not warm enough! Would love to come back and stay here again!

    just few km away from Winterberg you will find this hidden gem pension in Zuchen owned by a family, on the hill overlooking beautiful church. It is just 3min ride from Zuchen ski resourt with small slope and lift for kids, playground and a restaurant, perfect if you are travelling with little ones and are looking for a more quite and less crowded spot! Next to a generous breakfast we opted for dinner at the premises and were not disappointed, simple yet delicious home cooking saves you time and travel if you are too tired from a day of skiing.

    Rooms very large, clean and kitchen was well equipped. Facillities like Swimming pool, Hot tub etc..was functioning which made our stay quite comfortable. Safe and indoor and ample parking space. Not too far from City Centre. We asked for early check in and resort was friendly and accommodative to allow us for early check in too. Good Wifi connection.

    Location of the Hotel is great, right next to ski lifts. Breakfast and dinner were also great, very well organized. In the morning we would chose our dinner menu. Kids are getting crayons and coloring papers before dinner. Nice pool area. Spacious rooms. Very friendly staff.
