of course, the incredibly varied breakfast - together in a family atmosphere! The landlady looked after the guests in a very friendly manner. It was always an interesting and fun start into the day. The location is perfect, close to the river with the Elbe cycle path in front of the house. Only a 15 min walk to the train station heading to Dresden, 25 min walk to the romantic places of Meissen.

The property is pretty and quite new. One of the owners was nice enough to welcome us from the parking lot. They don’t have a lot of rooms, but each room is big and newly renovated so it’s perfect for people who don’t like crowds. The room was quite comfortable although I do wonder how it would be in summer because I didn’t notice air conditioning - our room had sound proof windows but when the window was opened, it got pretty loud. We could hear everything happening on the road. If you’re visiting Schloss Wackerbarth - this is the hotel that brings you the closest to the winery so you actually get crazy drunk and not have to worry about crawling back to your room cause it’s pretty close.

The location is ideal, in 1 min walk from the Porzellan museum and 7 min to the city center and to the railway station. The apartment is very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equiped with everything you need like washing machine, coffee maker, ironing facilities, good Wi-Fi. The host is friendly and helpful.
