    Kelheim is a cute town on the Danube river and very easy access to lots of walking/hiking or biking paths. Great location for day trips to other sites. and a stop for many of the river cruises we saw.

    One of the few hotels offering a true family room, with two separate rooms together, one of which has a very small kitchen. Breakfast was really great. I like the idea of not having the room cleaned every day: it is better for the environment and allows to put focus on what really matters, the cleaning in between different guests.

    A bit older but all the facilities were clean and operable. Excellent breakfast and solid dinner menu. The house beer (the hotel is attached to a brewery) is excellent.
