Really fantastic stay. Can suggest the breakfest with eggs. Best i had in my whole life! Restaurant is top of the bill. Realy good quality food combined with Swchwarzwald generousness. This is a charming Gasthaus in a beautiful location in the Schwarzwald. The host was very friendly and helpful, the room was very large and comfortable and had a beautiful view and a cute balcony to sit on. The whole place was decorated with a very cozy feel. The nice robes in the room was a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing, delicious, with so much variety, and everyone was so friendly! There was also convenient parking right behind the Gasthaus.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was outstanding—delicious and beautifully presented every time. The spa was truly amazing, offering a peaceful and luxurious escape. Traveling with our dog, we booked a spacious room with a view, and what we got exceeded all expectations. The room featured a large sitting area, a small dining space with a kitchenette, a cozy bedroom, and a fully equipped bathroom. The balcony offered breathtakingly beautiful views. The spa facilities were fantastic, opening early in the morning, allowing us to enjoy a swim before breakfast. The hotel was incredibly well-organized, and the staff were highly professional. We had a wonderful dinner at their dog-friendly restaurant, and breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options, including fresh and tasty fruits.

Wonderful location, the views and the surroundings are amazing, especially during winter time. The hotel is very comfortable, our room was very spacious, nice bathroom. There's too much light coming from the windows in the morning, but since breakfast is until 10h30, that's ok. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady during our check-in and the gentleman that served us during dinner, as they both spoke in English with us, which was great. They were also extremely polite and welcoming. Very pleased with our stay!

    Ideally situated in the heart of the Black Forest. Wonderful walking country. Bairsbronn has two 3 Michelin starred restaurants and one 2 star restaurant, although we didn't eat at any of them. Plenty of other, lesser restaurants.

    Beautiful, quiet area. Nice hotel. I wish that the hotel provided a written guide to the hotel amenities. I had no idea that there was a choice of Restaurants, no idea where the Pool was! No information was given at check--in. No information was available in the room. The village was nice and Freudenstadt was easy to get to and explore. I wasn't there for activity, only for rest and the Traube Tonbach was good but Interaction of Rezeption Staff was poor. I didn't feel very welcome there.

    I was visiting friends; we either walked or they drove me...

    I was visiting friends; we either walked or they drove me everywhere, but Baiersbronn seems to have good bus and train service; I don't think a car is needed to enjoy the area. It offers gorgeous views and many wonderful paths. We visited the Mummelsee one day and the Buhlbach glass museum another. That day we ate at the Forellen Hof there and combined with a walk through the forest, overlooking the valley, that was a great outing.

    The food was delicious and there was a good breakfast in the morning. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. We forgot something small in the room after we checked out and got home. On making a quick call to the hotel, we discovered what had happened. The manager agreed to post it back to us, for which we offered to pay postage costs and we received it in a few weeks. Great service, which was much appreciated.

    I highly recommend staying at Hotel Petra. We really enjoyed the homely atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. We felt looked after by Robert who was always on hand to help with any requests whether it be to borrow an umbrella, recommend a restaurant or to book a taxi. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice for everyone.
