Everything! Five-star hospitality at a serene and stunning spot. Costa Rica is a gem and San Rafael Ecolodge is truly exceptional. Owners Giovanni and Luis are not just hosts; they are true ambassadors of hospitality. Kind and dedicated professional who truly care for their customers, who feel at home right away, and for their place, and who are also committed to protect local wildlife and maintain the surroundings impeccably. San Rafael is a very special place, sited at a rainforest, which makes it unique. Rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is delicious! Muchas, muchas gracias, Giovanni and Luis. No question I will be back!

I travel a lot and spend a long time away from home, so cleanliness, comfort, and beauty around me are very important. I found all of this at La Tigra Mountain House. The beds are wide, the mattresses are comfortable. The hostess of the house is very attentive and caring. And I would like to highlight the view separately. It's fantastic!!! The Platanar and Porvenir volcanoes are visible as if in the palm of your hand. Sunrises, clouds running at eye level, and hovering birds attract and compel you to stop and enjoy life. In the morning, I tried to exercise, but it smoothly transitioned into meditation... As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times!! Come and see for yourself. I recommend it...

Amazing place just outside La Fortuna. Really quiet, perfectly harmonized with Nature, without sacrificing comfortable amenities. Everything was great, from the lovely breakfast full of homemade delicacies, to the comfortable rooms and beautiful surroundings. Totally recommend it to everyone wanting to enjoy La Fortuna by day and have a peaceful place to rest at night.

If you what to try to live in a place surrounded by beautiful nature then this is the place for you. The hosts were so nice and happy to help with what ever you needed. The facilities were very great and clean. A big recommendation from here.

    Perfect location If you like outdoors .

    Perfect location If you like outdoors . The sound of river and night bugs and animals definitely added an excellent plus for us. Restaurant is great and they make whatever you order. The owner goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. You can either spend the entire day there or take a tour and come back to this little hidden heaven. We ate by the pool while watching the lighting show offered by Mother Nature! I will definitely go back.
