The hacienda is a wonderful and peaceful place to enjoy the mountain and the views. We stayed two days and the hosts, Frédérique and Philippe made our stay a beautiful weekend to remember. It is a lovely new hotel, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the meals are included and were very tasty. We really enjoyed the vanilla plantation tour with Philippe and the water falls he took us to see on their propriety, soooo refreshing! And we saw a few toucans and red macaws near the hacienda. If your are looking for a comfortable and quiet break with a view, don't hesitate. They can also organise hikes on their land (it's big) or on the nearby national park with a guide if you want a challenge.

I loved the beautiful style of the naturally cooled rooms, the style of the entire boutique hotel, the wonderful set-up of a gated park like garden and the lodge is centered on top of a hill, the staff members I met (4 of which one was the owner) are exceptionally nice

I can honestly say that this hotel is the best I’ve ever booked, my entire stay was amazing! The entire building is super clean and well maintained. Even though I was travelling alone, my room was spacious and I felt comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a big plus, it felt nice to relax in the pool area after spending the day outside. I only ate breakfast on two or three days, there are many options there for everyone, both sweet and salty. It’s about a 20-minute drive to the centre of San Jose, the drive becomes much longer depending on traffic, but that’s ok. The next time I’m in Costa Rica, I will definitely stay here again. Muchos gracias!

We had lunch in the dining room. My salmon salad was superb & then dinner, celebrating our grandson birthday. The food, our waiter made it memorable.The breakfast was lovely around a beautiful surrounding. The young man who attended to us was exeptional. I believe is name is Kernest but i am always bad @ remembering names. The view from our room, dining room. The entire surrounding was breath taking. The staff was above & beyound.

A beautiful small hotel - elegant, comfortable, excellent and helpful staff. Not in a main tourist hub but definitely good for a night or two in combo with other stays or for work.

The staff were very helpful and smiley. The inside/outside nature of the bar and eating area is delightful being almost within the beautiful garden. The breakfast was very good and timings were flexible.
