The location was fantastic, a mere 2 minute walk to some of the best cafes and restaurants in Mornington. Less than a five minute walk to the beach and absolutely stunning views of the bay at both sunrise and sunset. The accommodation was super clean and comfortable and meet all we could want from a short stay.

It’s centrally located and equipped with all the amenities you could need. Katrina, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

    We were not there for long but good for what we needed.

    We were not there for long but good for what we needed. We went to the Peninsula Springs, did a scenic drive around the area, looked for places to eat, relaxed in the pool and spa and relaxed in the room. With a car it was easy to get around. We bought groceries and mostly ate in the room. We would recommend the Springs, the Peninsula one is a lot older and it is obvious, and the Alba one is new and it is obvious as well. Both have similar attractions, however price is a consideration. Both venues need to supply a brochure or a detailed map of the areas to go to and open/closing time, eg Cafes and an organic route to follow. We will be back to Mornington.

    Mornington is very central with tasty food and wine.

    Mornington is very central with tasty food and wine. Just a short drive to Portsea, Flinders, Redhill, and Frankston to enjoy the beaches, walking tracks or a long bike ride along the bay. Finish the day with a lovely meal and a cocktail while watching to sun go down.

    It was about 11hours drive from Adelaide.

    It was about 11hours drive from Adelaide. Need atleast 3 days here just to get a feel for all the lovely beaches. I have boys 13 and 15 that enjoyed going to Arthur's seat, The lighthouse and walk, Marthas cove, a walk at the bunkers at Portsea and a gorgeous garden near Sorrento. As long as there was a cafe nearby (there always is). The weather has been warm in April and we've only worn a jumper in the morning. Easy to find.

    Mornington is well placed to reach nearby places of interests and yet hold interest in the town itself. There is lots to see and do in the town itself with many things in nearby towns as well. Food, clothes, shopping, natural scenery. Mills Beach is nearby which is a lovely beach to visit.

    We had beautiful weather - we were able to go swimming at...

    We had beautiful weather - we were able to go swimming at the local beach. Main street was walking distance from our accommodation and it was such a buzzy atmosphere for a Summer evening on a weeknight (we stayed Tuesday/Wednesday night and it was early Feb when the kids were all back at school). Plenty of eating/dining options (really enjoyed Vietnamese at Le Feu). Mornington is also a great base to explore the rest of the peninsula - we took the scenic route all the way to Portsea from there.

    As always - our stay at Brooklands was comfortable and very convenient. As previous Mornington residents, we visit q often and Brooklands has been our hotel of choice for many years - as with my parents before us. The rooms are clean and bed very comfortable. The coffee machine is an extra bonus, and the downstairs room with outdoor table was lovely. . Great beach walks nearby, plenty of birdlife, and easy walking access to shopping centre, restaurants etc.

    I booked Balcombe Retreat for a solo beach trip after reading all the great reviews and it was perfect! Great value, located in the heart of Mornington, you get access to the entire bottom floor – not to mention the house is immaculate, designed beautifully and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Trudy and Sam are lovely hosts. They are available if you need anything and are very generous too. Highly recommend!

    Everything. Denise was an exceptional host who provided a spectacular stay. She gave us an option of a few different breakfasts, and even provided afternoon tea each day. The china and glass wear was absolutely stunning, and the whole house felt really comfortable and homey. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and it was easily walking distance to a great beach. Overall, it was exactly what we were looking for.

    The whole property was clean, shampoo/conditioner and body wash there for you to use. Great location, 1 minute stroll across from Mornington Peninsula beach and those famous little houses on the beach, you see in a lot of photos. Would definitely stay there again if going back to the Mornington ❤️
