We loved our stay and were so happy that we chose this quaint, private lodging option as it was surrounded by lovely forest and so much more affordable than the basic cabins at more posh resorts. It was less than 1/2 hour drive to Cradle Mountain hiking area but watch for animals at dusk - they are everywhere :) We stayed in the Quoll cabin and loved having two tables/chair set ups outside the main door and large window. Each day we were greeted by pademelons and a chorus of song birds. The cabin was well stocked, bedding super comfortable and the whirlpool bath / hottub was amazing after completing a long hike. The heating system was super efficient. The kitchen (equipped with a microwave and small fridge) was outfitted with everything we needed for simple meals. Check in process was super easy and there are a couple of new cafes on the corner offering amazing coffee at Blue Tree Gallery which also features a lovely array of local artisan products. The staff at nearby Cradle Gateway Cafe were super friendly but the breakfast sandwich and coffee was quite basic - they do offer dinner for pickup which is a nice option.

Loved the location and view from the veranda. Great bathroom and we had everything we needed. A short drive to Cradle National Park and we walked there on two days and it was stunning

The staff in there are kind and patient. Tell us the way and time to travel the mountains with bus.Also the best time and points to find wombat.The room is clean.The bed is soft and comfortable.The best part is the bathtub,make us have a relaxing night.By the way,breakfast is self service,fruit is fresh.If you want to visit Cradle Mountain,stay here is the best choice and you could enjoy whole day view in different time.

Everything! So comfortabel and nicely decorated. It was a rainy day and the woodfire was so great. The whole area is very quiet , not far from Cradle mountains visitor centre where we did one of the most beautiful walks in Tasmania. It’s an amazing experience to sleep in a dome.

- Rooms were very cosy as per advertised and our room also oversaw a pond which was a beautiful scene to relax to in our room. - A short drive to the Cradle Mountain visitor centre and a quick walk to the 1st stop of Cradle Mountain shuttle bus. Perfect location to stay for nearby walks (including Dove lake circuit). - staff were very helpful in providing guidance on weather and driving routes (as there were floods around the region shortly before our stay). they also allowed us to borrow their umbrella for our walk even though we had checked out (which we returned after our walk) - great breakfast variety to fuel up for the day
