Great small town located in Southern Gippsland. It has all the facilities you need including some great options for dining out. We loved Mahob at Moos for dinner, Trulli for pizza and coffee and they also had the best delicatessan, and the Meeniyan pub was also good for food and a game of pool. For breakfast we enjoyed the coffee and egg and bacon roll out the back in the garden at the Meeniyan Store and Cafe The reason for the visit was to see a band at the Meeniyan Town Hall which was fabulous. Whilst staying in Meeniyan we also did a country drive to Port Welshpool and Port Albert and enjoyed the best fish and chips at Port Albert Fish and Chips Co. The countryside around Meeniyan including Wilson's Prom is green rolling hills and is a delightful drive. Highly recommend.

Meeniyan was a surprise town.
Meeniyan was a surprise town. I had actually never heard of it and only stayed one night due to attending a family function. I wished I had booked and stayed for longer! Such quaint shops, beautiful food shops & great coffee. The locals were so welcoming and the town had such a great vibe. Was disappointed we didn’t have time to check out the awesome looking pub or the town square. A very walkable town and only half hour drive from the beach. Definitely be back!

Meeniyan is a gorgeous town, it's central to lots of places of interest in South Gippsland and about an hours drive to Wilsons Prom. Everything you need is in the small shopping strip on the main street. I highly recommend Moo's at Meeniyan, a welcoming cafe with lovely, attentive staff and great food.

Meeniyan is a Victorian classic, a small rural town on the highway. This year at least it was green and verdant in the middle of summer. It has good coffee shops and bakeries, and an art gallery which I mean to return to, since its window display looks great but it wasn't open at a time when I was available. It is an easy journey from Melbourne and is close to the coast and the beautiful Cape Liptrap.

Close to Leongatha and looked better, safer, cleaner than other accom for same price. Vehicle speed limit 40km/h through Meeniyan so hardly heard anything despite it being located on the main road! Really close to the IGA and right next door to the pub :)

Had a great stay at the Meeniyan Hotel. Mel was fantastic and so helpful. We borrowed some great bikes to ride the rail trails. Located next door to the pub, but was not an issue. Great country food and entertainment at the pub. Great place to stopover.

It’s an old style motel, but modernised in the room, and very clean and comfortable. The proprietor was helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The motel is a short walk to shops, and next to the Meeniyan Hotel, which has a good bistro.
