Caloundra is a great place to stay for young and old...
Caloundra is a great place to stay for young and old especially if you want a relaxing holiday. It doesn't have the hustle and bustle of Mooloolaba or the Gold Coast but still has everything you need. Shops, restaurants and take away. Beautiful beaches, boats and water activities to hire and close to places like Australia Zoo and Aussie World. The cinema is in the main street too if you dont want to spend all your time at the beach. We love it and have been coming for 60 years.Guest review byLea StoweAustralia - 8.0

The beaches and facilities are close. Nice kiddies play areas. Awesome walks on the beaches or along the esplanade. Very relaxing. As I don't like dining on my own there are some great takeout places and then plenty of places along the beach to sit and enjoy. Nice shops to go browsing along the beach fronts. We especially loved the 'local feel' of Kings Beach itself. We were greeted by the owner of Capeview, Andy, who is very friendly and helpful. Plus any of the cafe owners and Surf Club staff were very warm, fun and friendly. You have the beach across road and spoilt for choice with the multitude of restaurants and bars that are located ground level of the hotel. The heated pool and jacuzzi was the great way to unwind after a long day of exploring. In addition, the bar has happy hour between 4-6pm daily. Which it makes it harder to leave the pool area.
