The (sole) Indonesian restaurant further up the main street...
The (sole) Indonesian restaurant further up the main street made our day. But the attitude of the manager at mount view motel was horrid. When I arrived, I could have sworn the motel was abandoned, except I knew I had prepaid booking.com $132 for the night (nett/after my genius level discount). When I tried to let him know following morning that there was only one teaspoon and no other cutlery, he blurted out "that's correct, it's been this way for twenty years!". I rather foolishly went on "and there's no face towel?" to which he curtly replied "if yu want face towel, stay at the hilton! (But) this is a cheap motel!". I said I was only giving some feedback, to which he again curtly blurted "don't need it!". So, this is one motelier who has obviously given up, if he ever was one. He's also long given up on the property too. What a pity.

We were travelling from Brisbane to Tuross Head and this was an excellent place for an overnight stay. It is a small town but it has a supermarket, petrol stations and restaurants/cafes. We ate at Oliver's and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a flat tyre and we were able to get it fixed quickly at the local mechanics/tyre repair business, Buladelah Tyre and Mechanical.

Bulahdelah was a great little overnight stop.
Bulahdelah was a great little overnight stop. It is a very small town but has friendly people, pretty location on the river and surrounded by mountains. Great coffee at Cafe on Main. Pizza good from Lady Jane hotel. We didn't get to have breakfast at either of the cafes but what we saw looked great.

Only stopped overnight so didn't really get to see Bulahdelah except for the walk to the pub from the motel that evening and a look around in the morning on our way out. It was a quaint town and would like to go back and explore.

Bulahdelah is a small but apparently thriving small town off the highway, close to several National Parks & the coast. There are a number of cafes, a pub/bottle shop & a supermarket. Finding a parking spot on the "main drag" was not a problem.
I had lunch & breakfast at the Cafe next door to Mountain View Motel. Both were well priced, & a plentiful plateful.

The town is quite pretty, set on a river with craggy hills behind however, if you are driving north, don’t fill up with fuel because it was MUCH cheaper several minutes further up the highway. Pub was lively.

The reception staff were lovely. No problem checking in.
Beds were very comfy and extra blankets were available as the room cooled down overnight.
The bathroom is a bit dated and the water from the shower flooded the floor. The water was lovely and hot.
Tea and coffee facilities.
The room was very clean.
It was only a 10 minute walk into town to the hotel. Dinner was offered in the motel restaurant but we didn't partake.
There was barely any road noise as we were on the old highway.
I would certainly stay again

I can't thank Patrick enough. My trailer tyres blew on my way home to Nambucca Heads, so my wife booked the Mountain View. When arriving Patrick went way and beyond and offered me his trailer tyre so I could get my trailer and its goods off the side of the highway and park it at the motel until the morning when I could get the tyres changed. This kind of caring and help is in a shortage these days. Yes, the hotel is old, but it's clean and the service is A+
Thank you Patrick!

Funky town and great sitting area outside of room as we had an apartment. Easy walk to town for coffee. Apartment comfortable. I loved the old fashioned vibe. Manager or owner there was friendly. Bulahdelah has a few good coffee shop choices. And a small Indonesian restaurant off the main drag that was yummy. Can’t remember the name but it’s the only one. It is just a tiny cafe looking place .
