I highly recommend Agroturizem Gjepali for anyone looking for an authentic Albanian experience. It was the best 4 stars hotel that we have stayed in the Balkans. Everything was of really good quality and newly renovated: the towels, the bedsheets, the furniture, everything in the bathroom. Looks like someone is really paying attention to the details. The breakfast was delicious, of really qualitative and fresh ingredients. The desserts - mouthwatering. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is really nice that it has underground parking - only the entrance is a little steep, wouldn’t work for a sports car with very low ground clearance. It was at a walking distance from the center of Durres and the beach.

We had an excellent experience at Hotel Saly. The accommodation was inexpensive and clean, and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. They even let us over stay our parking free of charge as we had a late flight out. The breakfast made for us in the morning was delicious and let us taste a bit of Albaniain culture. This hotel felt like a gem of a find and we would certainly go back in the future.

It’s not on the beach but it’s 15 steps away. So it’s quiet and peaceful. Staff are amazing. Breakfast was awesome. The family who run it are so lovely and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

    If you are not fussy about rural life, this is a good opportunity to get to know the real Albanian countryside. The family is very welcoming and helpful. The villagers were also friendly and willing to help you every step of the way. The cooking facilities at the property were very good. The location is great for getting around.
