Victor and his family were so kind and welcoming. I arrived to a lovely fire and within a few minutes of arriving had a meal ready for me. Breakfast was a huge meal and prices for the lunch is really good. It was such a nice place with beautiful view, so quiet and peaceful and right next to the start of the quilotoa loop trek.

The hacienda is a relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The breakfasts and dinners were awesome. Sebadtian and Victor are wonderful cooks and do whatever you need to feel comfortable. Since it is a working dairy farm feeding the baby cows was fun.

We had a great time at the lodge during a two-night stay. Adrien provided an abundance of information about the local culture and volcanos, and organized a day trip to Cotopaxi with a local guide. The lodge is also a fully functioning farm with pigs, llamas, goats, chickens, horses, and most endearing to us, dogs. Anouk was always waiting for us in the doorway to throw the latest piece of wood she had found. The bed we slept in was very comfortable with a heated blanket and an additional heater in the room. There was a firepit in our room that we regrettably didn't end up using, but it's there for those who enjoy fireside relaxation. Adrien prepared breakfast and dinner each day for us, all of which were filling and delicious.

Located on the foothill of Chimborazo Volcano, Chimborazo Lodge offers rooms with heating in Chimborazo Natural reserve. There is a restaurant, and free parking is provided. Riobamba is 36 km away. Very warm room, super cozy blankets and beds, everything clean, hot water and the alpacas!!! They sometimes let you touch them but you have to be real slow. The food was very nice, the main room is just so interesting and the view of the mountain is unbeatable. On clear nights you can see the milky way.

Set in Cotopaxi National Park, 6 km from the entrance, Chilcabamba Lodge has comfortable rooms charming with rustic-style décor. Location was amazing with clear views of Cotopaxi volcano and surrounding volcanoes. Only a short drive to the National park entrance and some nice walking trails around the lodge, bonus having a trail to nearby trout farm for fishing. The food was exceptional especially the dinner (3 course meal). The staff even made us packed lunches for our hike up Cotopaxi Volcano which was exactly what we needed. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Especially Jesica who organised all our activities for us and helped out with everything - she spoke fluent English as well which was a bonus considering our Spanish wasn’t great! Even all the guides and drivers for the activities are extremely friendly and helpful which made the day tours so enjoyable. The room we stayed in was perfect. A large comfortable bed and the fireplace kept the room very warm and cosy.

This was an unbelievable experience! It is a perfect getaway in Andes, very authentic place surrounded by endless mountains. Restaurant serves delicious Andean food, staff members are very friendly and helpful! It is a perfect stay for hikers and climbers who are willing to spend several days in Cotopaxi valley. The sky at night…. Unbelievable! They have a very good wifi, rooms are big and clean, hot water. Stove works perfectly well - I left it on for a couple of hours, and warmed my room for the whole night. Several blankets. All cabins have a wonderful view of the mountains. I highly recommend!!

Runa Wasi Quilotoa offers accommodation in Quilotoa. Latacunga is 72 km away. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site. The location and staff were much better than I expected.
