That might just be the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. It's a family owned and operated resort with just 11 villas. It was completely rebuilt a few years ago and as far as I understand that's why the rating is not solid 10. There are still old reviews, but new facilities deserve nothing except a full 10. Villas are huge, like really huge and so very well designed. View is amazing and since they're located on the hill the row in front doesn't block the view and no one can see you in your room. Air conditioner is quiet and is perfectly clean without any bad smell. Water is hot and pressure is very good. They rake the beach non stop from morning to night so there's absolutely zero sandflies. We were spending most of the time at the resort's beach because it's also quite beautiful with the view on other islands and they built bamboo structures to provide shadow at any time of the day if you get tired of the sun. You can also take free paddle boards and kayaks at the hotel and they rent out scooters for the usual price. But one of the best parts is the restaurant. I don't think there's any other place on the whole island which can compare in terms of flavors and freshness of seafood. Every single dish we tried was simply perfect. Most of the staff speaks English and they really know how to run the place, we never had to wait for anything and none of the requests were ever forgotten or messed up.

We booked the budget room. Very basic (as expected for the price we paid) but amazing value for money. Very helpful host who took us to a bike rental shop. Beautiful pool area. Hiring a bike/tuk tuk is a necessity due to the peaceful location. Everything in easy distance with transport.

Menawarkan pemandangan laut, The Hut Koh Mak Sea View menawarkan penginapan dengan teres dan balkoni, kira-kira 1.7km dari Police Station. A wonderful location right next to the pier, full of activity whenever a boat/ferry came in, and really peaceful with just the fishermen for company until the sunset, then just the colourful lights illuminating the pier, totally mesmerising.

I had a great time on Ko Mak. Great accommodation, good location, sea, restaurants and cafés within walking distance and very friendly hosts who lovingly look after their guests. Absolutely recommended!

Terletak di Ko Mak, BaanYai Koh Mak menawarkan penginapan tepi pantai 14-minit berjalan kaki dari Pantai Ao Soun Yai dan mempunyai pelbagai kemudahan, seperti kawasan pantai peribadi, teres dan bar. The room was spacious, good shower, air con, balcony with chairs and free coffees and cold water. The garden was immaculate and well maintained by Jay and the beach was cleaned every day. The food at the restaurant was good and not very expensive. It was a very good place to stay right on the beach!
